Gruesome And Terrible But You Slow Down To Look at it Anyway

I try not to pay attention to this stuff, but I can't help it. No one can. It's like a car crash - so gruesome and terrible but you slow down to look anyway.

And yeah, she looks like a guy, which is, um, bad. It's not a huge deal, though, right? She'll probably be on the cover of all the magazines in a few months looking all retouched, whining about her divorce and how she totally screwed up her life.

What bugs me is that people are comparing her to Natalie Portman. So they both shaved their heads. But Natalie is this beautiful girl who can make anything look chic. Britney is this former pop star turned trailer trash chick that marries bums who can't rap and checks into rehab in Antigua before shaving her head on a whim. There's a difference.

Grammys 07: The Bad and The Ugly

Before I begin, let me tell you a little about myself. This is how I work: Pretty things make me smile. Beautiful things make me jealous. Ugly things make me laugh. Really ugly things make me cry. I'll admit I teared a bit during this.

Okay, this one wasn't so bad. But it wasn't so good either. The dress is mediocre, and she could have done something more formal with her hair. It just didn't seem like it had enough effort put in.

Who wears Nike's with a tux? Maybe John Mayer couldn't find his formal shoes. Maybe he was trying to make a statement. Either way, it doesn't work.

Everyone has to give Nelly a break about this one. It's not her fault is she accidentaly put the bottom of her dress through a paper shredder!

Christina Ricci and Mandy Moore both wore dresses made from the fabric used to made the drapes in motels. Christina looks a bit, if any, better than Mandy, though. She just looks, well, dead, from the messy hair to the grandma dress.

I really hate Ciara's dress. It's way too disproportionate to her tall frame, and the bubble hem is not working for me.

Hilary looks uncomfortable, messy, and unflattering in this sparkly dress. The dark hair and black accents on the dress really don't compliment her complexion. I understand how she's trying to be less Lizzie Macguire these days, but this ensemble is a mistake.

Brooke Hogan has overdosed on bleach and...shiny. She looks like a middle-aged woman trying too hard to look like a younger one. Acutally, she looks a lot like her mom [which is not a good thing].

Ahh! *squints in blinding light*

And there will always be the ones who want to "make a statement."

Grammys 07: The Good

The Grammys don't usually showcase the most interesting fashion, but there were some good ensembles this year.

James Blunt with girlfriend Petra Nemcova. I think that she looks gorgeous in this metallic dress; you know, the whole golden-girl thing. She could cover up a bit more I suppose, but overall I think she really pulled it off.

Christina really cleaned up her act since "Dirrty". I love the old Hollywood glamour image she's putting out there. The dress is sexy but classy, but she could lay off the tanning lotion a bit.

Is it just me, or did Vanessa Minnillo and Fergie wear the exact same outfit? Both look great, anyway.

Fergie isn't really my favorite artist out there, and she hardly makes any best-dressed lists. But someone has to give her credit for this one - it's not completely trashy, her hair looks nice and she seems really confident in her outfit. It's definately a step up from, say, the 2006 VMAs.

Carrie looks smashing in this silvery dress.

Scarlett Johansson's dress was one of my favorites. Simple, black, and flattering on her. Hair and makeup are gorgeous too.

Mary J looks fabulous in my opinion. And she rocked out the live performance!

Corrine Baliey Rae is so cute in this sparkly black dress. I couldn't help but notice that it matched her hair perfectly.

And that just about wraps up the pretty outfits. Now I get to bash the ugly ones!
